The Care & Feeding of Wood Bowls

Finished with Natural Oils

Hand Wash Only:
To preserve the natural beauty and finish of your wood bowl, it's best to hand wash it with mild dish soap and warm water. Avoid soaking the bowl for extended periods.

Dry Promptly:
After washing, dry the bowl promptly with a clean, soft cloth to prevent water from penetrating the wood.

Avoid Extreme Temperatures:
Do not expose the wood bowl to extreme temperatures or direct sunlight, as this can cause warping or cracking over time.

Reapply Oil as Needed:
Over time, the natural oils in the wood may dry out. To maintain the bowl's luster and protect it from moisture, periodically reapply a food-safe mineral oil or beeswax finish. Simply rub a small amount onto the surface of the bowl with a soft cloth, then buff to a shine. I recommend Mahoney’s Oil Wax FInish (A blend of Beeswax, Carnauba Wax and Walnut Oil).

By following these simple care instructions, you can ensure that your wood bowl remains beautiful and functional for years to come.
